.. man, this colorway is "versatile". The white/navy/igloo blue combo works with so much. The patent leather "shines" in natural light... it's a head-turner, for sure. Compared to my Concord 11s, the "igloo release" is definitely more of a "spring/summer" or clean, crisp look. It's less stark than the white/black, but just as iconic in its own way. Comparing it to other "Jordan 11" releases... This 'Igloo' sits in a unique spot. It's not a OG color-blocking, but it "feels" like it could have been, you know? It's cleaner than some of the recent loud collabs. Versus a pair of Jordans from the performance line, the tech is obviously dated, but the style is timeless. For a classic sneakerhead, this is a win. Here's my real take: the biggest pro of this shoe is its look. It’s stunning! But a potential con? That beautiful icy outsole will definitely yellow over time... it's just the nature of the material. So if that bothers you, maybe think twice. For me? I'm going to enjoy the "air jordan 11 retro igloo" while it's fresh. It's a premium sneaker experience, through and through. My final take? I'm really impressed with this release. "Jordan Brand" took a risk with this 'Igloo' palette, and it paid off. On foot, they feel special and get tons of looks. Are they worth the $225? If you love the 11 model and want something beyond the classic colorways, then absolutely. Just factor in that maintenance cost - keep those suede brushes handy!
