At its retail price of $200 USD, it's a solid investment into a timeless design. I love it for its wearability and iconic status. Just go in knowing it's a style-first, comfort-second kind of shoe. It's a piece of footwear art you can actually walk in. Comparing it to other Jordan 4s, the 'Black Cat' is much more low-key than something like the 'Fire Red' or 'Bred'. It lacks that classic color pop. Compared to a Jordan 1, the 4 is bulkier and less flexible. But that's also its charm—it has a distinct, chunky silhouette that makes a statement in a totally different, monochromatic way. On foot, the "Black Cat" colorway is even cleaner in person. The matte finish doesn't show fingerprints too easily. In certain light, you can see the subtle texture differences between the nubuck, mesh, and plastic details. They go with literally everything – jeans, joggers, you name it. It’s a versatile staple for any sneaker rotation. Comparing it to other 4s, the 'Black Cat' is much more understated than, say, a 'Bred' or 'Fire Red'. It's a subtle flex. The materials feel a step above some recent retro releases in the Jordan series. The main advantage here is the head-turning power without using loud colors. It just looks expensive and clean.
