This isn't a performance basketball shoe anymore. Also, if you already own multiple Bred 4s from other years, the updates here might not justify another $210 purchase for you. It's incremental, not revolutionary. Comparing it to my older AJ4s, the 2026 version feels a bit more refined in the toebox shape. It's less boxy than some of the early retros. The nubuck also seems nicer than some of the stiffer materials used in past releases. It sits nicely alongside other Jordans in my collection – it's a definitive piece. Alright, so the "Air Jordan 4 Bred 2026" is finally here. First thing I noticed? The shape is "super" clean. The black nubuck feels premium right out of the box, and that classic "Bred" color-blocking with the red accents? It's just iconic, man. The build quality on this 2026 version feels solid, no major glue issues I can see. A great start for this Jordan series release. On foot now—wow, the comfort is a noticeable step up from older 4s I've worn. The cushioning feels more responsive, honestly. The lockdown is pretty good; my foot feels secure without being choked. They're not the lightest sneakers out there, but for an Air Jordan 4, the weight is manageable for all-day wear. A definite improvement in the feel department.
