It's bulkier, more of a statement. Versus a newer model like the AJ38, the tech is obviously dated. But that's not the point. This is a heritage piece. The Jordan series has many greats, but this specific version is in the top tier for a reason. Final take? If you've always wanted these, cop them. The "Air Jordan 4 Bred" is a legend for a reason. But be real with your expectations—it's about style, not supreme comfort. For a retro head like me, it's absolutely worth the investment and a permanent spot in the rotation. Wearing these out, the "Bred" color blocking is just so effective. The black upper with those fire red hits on the midsole and tongue tab... it pops without being loud. In person and on camera, this "Jordan" just looks clean and mean. It's a shoe that gets looks from other sneakerheads, guaranteed. Now, for the "cons" or things to consider. That nubuck upper? It can be a magnet for dust and water spots, so you gotta be a little careful. Also, as I mentioned, the cushioning isn't modern. If you want a super soft, cloud-like feel, look elsewhere. The toe box can also feel a bit roomy for some foot shapes.
