It's not trying to reinvent the wheel. You get a legendary colorway on a legendary model. Is it the most innovative shoe? No. But it's executed beautifully. If you've been waiting for this one, go for it. Just be ready for that classic, firm Jordan 4 feel. Solid release. Now, for the cons, and this is my real take. The main issue is the comfort, or lack thereof, for extended wear. If you're used to modern sneaker tech, these will feel stiff and heavy. Also, that nubuck can be a dirt magnet, especially on the white panels. The outsole traction on dust can be just okay. Putting these on... the fit is pretty TTS for me. The leather upper is stiffer than newer models, which is expected. Comfort-wise, it's a retro - you get decent cushioning from that Air unit, but don't expect Boost or ZoomX levels of softness. The lockdown around the ankle is good, though. Comparing it to other 4s, like the Military Blue or the Bred, the Fire Red colorway holds its own. It's arguably one of the most recognizable OG colorways. The quality seems consistent with recent retro releases. If you love the Jordan 4 model, this is a must-have.
