The toebox is roomier than an AJ3. In terms of comfort for all-day wear, I'd probably grab an AJ13 or AJ11 over these, but for style? This 'Fire Red' colorway is top-tier for the 4s. Alright, so I just got the Air Jordan 4 'Fire Red' in hand. First impression? The color-blocking is super clean and classic. The white, black, and that vibrant Fire Red hit just pops. The nubuck feels decent, not super plush, but the overall shape and build quality on this retro are solid for the price point of around $210 USD. Now, the potential downsides. The outsole is quite stiff initially, and it needs a break-in period. Also, that exposed Air unit in the heel? You gotta be careful not to puncture it. And if you need modern, cloud-like cushioning, this isn't it. It's a style-first, comfort-second kind of shoe. Putting them on, the fit is true to size for me. The Air Jordan 4 isn't known for being super plush, and that holds true here. You get decent cushioning, but it's more about stability than cloud-like comfort. The lockdown is good, though the plastic wings and tabs do their job. They're not heavy, but you definitely feel the structure.
