You'll need to be prepared to clean these regularly if you want to keep them fresh. Also, if you're used to super soft, modern foam cushioning, the ride here might feel a bit firm and dated. It's a retro basketball shoe, after all. On feet now, and the fit is true to size for me. The Air Jordan 4 Retro 'White Thunder' has that classic 4s feel: supportive, a bit structured, not the plushiest. The cushioning is firm but stable, which I actually prefer for all-day wear. It's not a super light shoe, but you feel secure. The lockdown from the wings is excellent, no heel slip at all. Now, a couple of things that might not work for everyone. The toe box can feel a bit rigid initially—it needs a short break-in period. Also, if you're used to super soft, modern cushioning like in a React or Boost shoe, the Air unit in these might feel a bit firm. It's a performance feel from a different era, which I like, but it's not for comfort purists. Comparing these to other 4s, like my 'Military Blues', the 'White Thunder' has a much louder, summer-ready vibe. The shape is consistent with recent retros. Versus a Jordan 1? It's a totally different feel – more structured, bulkier, but with that iconic look. It's a classic Jordan series model for a reason.
