They're definitely more of a style & casual hoops shoe versus a performance beast, & that's perfectly fine for most people. Straight out of the box, the craftsmanship on this pair is impressive – clean stitching, good panel alignment. This "air jordan low 1" in a sail/light bone colorway is a wardrobe staple. On foot, they're surprisingly comfortable for a flat-soled shoe – the collar doesn't dig into my ankle, which is a win. They look even better on foot than in the box, in my opinion.
