Versus a high-top Air Jordan 1, you lose some ankle lockdown (obviously) but gain a ton of everyday versatility. Compared to newer Jordan models with Zoom air, the Air Jordan Low 1's ride is definitely more basic. It's about the look and the heritage, not cutting-edge tech. That's its charm, in my opinion. Comparing it to other Lows in the Jordan series, like the AJ3 or AJ5 Low, the "AJ1 Low" wins on pure simplicity. It's stripped back to the essentials. You're paying for the shape and the history. Some might find that boring, but I think it's why it remains so popular. It’s a design that never "truly" goes out of style.
