You're wearing a piece of sneaker history (well, a version of it). The construction is generally durable for everyday use. However, the "con" for some will be the lack of premium materials or that exact OG specification. If you're a purist, you might only want the Highs. Comparing it to my Jordan 1 Highs... the Air Jordan Mid 1 is simply easier to live with daily. The Highs are more of a statement, but these Mids are just effortlessly cool and less of a hassle to put on and take off. For the price difference? That's a huge plus in my book. Now, a real "con": That break-in period. The initial stiffness is real, especially in the ankle. If you prioritize immediate, cloud-like comfort – these aren't it. They're built for style and a bit of court heritage, not for all-day walking comfort right out of the gate. Just being honest! Comparing it to other Jordans... If you have a High, you don't "need" a Mid, but it's a different vibe. The "Air Jordan Mid 1" is easier to put on and off, for sure. It’s less of a statement, more of an everyday shoe. I find myself grabbing these for quick errands more often than my Highs. The price difference in the "Jordan series" makes the Mid a fantastic entry point. Just know the materials might be slightly different—sometimes less leather, more synthetic. Still a great shoe for the money.
