It's not trying to be the most innovative shoe. It's providing that iconic look & feel. If you're on the fence, try a pair on. The fit & firm feel might surprise you (in a good or bad way!). My personal vote? Copped. After wearing them for a bit, I appreciate the Mid more. It's the everyday workhorse of the Jordan 1 family. You don't have to baby them. That sturdy build handles wear well. Comparing it to pricier Retros, you're getting 90% of the look and feel for less money. For a practical sneakerhead, the value of the Air Jordan Mid 1 is hard to beat. Let's talk about the "Gym Red" pair. Unboxing them, the red is "vibrant" — it looks fantastic on camera. On foot, they're lighter than I expected, which is a plus for all-day comfort. Compared to some bulkier Jordans, the Air Jordan Mid 1 feels more streamlined. Big pro: they go with "everything". Con? The outsole traction isn't for serious balling anymore. It's a lifestyle king, though. Sliding these Air Jordan Mid 1s on... the fit is TTS (true to size) for me. Immediate thoughts? The ankle collar provides nice support — more than a Low, less than a High. The cushioning is... well, it's an '85-inspired shoe, so don't expect Boost-level softness. It's firm but comfortable for all-day wear. The "overall" feel is classic, stable, & just "simple".
