The fit is true to size for me—nice and snug around the midfoot. The ankle collar on this "Mid" version gives a good amount of support without feeling restrictive. They're pretty light on foot, which I always appreciate. The insole is basic, so don't expect crazy cushioning... but for casual wear? They're perfectly comfortable right out of the box. After wearing them for a bit, I appreciate the Mid more. It's the everyday workhorse of the Jordan 1 family. You don't have to baby them. That sturdy build handles wear well. Comparing it to pricier Retros, you're getting 90% of the look and feel for less money. For a practical sneakerhead, the value of the Air Jordan Mid 1 is hard to beat. Opening the box, the quality is... "expected" for a mid-tier Jordan. It's not premium, but it's not bad either. The real win for the Air Jordan Mid 1 is the colorway variety. You can find almost any combo you want. For a sneakerhead starting their collection, or someone who just wants a reliable, iconic design, it's a great option. Not for the "materials snob" though. The major "pro" here is versatility and legacy. You're wearing a piece of sneaker history (well, a version of it). The construction is generally durable for everyday use. However, the "con" for some will be the lack of premium materials or that exact OG specification. If you're a purist, you might only want the Highs.
