The initial stiffness is real, especially in the ankle. If you prioritize immediate, cloud-like comfort – these aren't it. They're built for style and a bit of court heritage, not for all-day walking comfort right out of the gate. Just being honest! On feet, the look is just timeless. This particular colorway—mostly white with grey and that black Swoosh—is incredibly versatile. You can wear these with "literally" anything. Comparing it to the OG High, the main difference is obviously the collar height... and the price. The "Air Jordan Mid 1" often sits at a more accessible price, which is a huge plus for a lot of people. So, I just put these on. The fit is true to size for me—nice and snug around the midfoot. The ankle collar on this "Mid" version gives a good amount of support without feeling restrictive. They're pretty light on foot, which I always appreciate. The insole is basic, so don't expect crazy cushioning... but for casual wear? They're perfectly comfortable right out of the box. Opening the box, the quality is... "expected" for a mid-tier Jordan. It's not premium, but it's not bad either. The real win for the Air Jordan Mid 1 is the colorway variety. You can find almost any combo you want. For a sneakerhead starting their collection, or someone who just wants a reliable, iconic design, it's a great option. Not for the "materials snob" though.
