First thing I notice out of the box? The leather feels "pretty decent" for a Mid. The silhouette is clean—classic. For around $125 USD, this is a solid entry into the Jordan series if you're just starting out. Not the most premium, but a great daily wear option. So, who is this for? Perfect for the beginner sneakerhead wanting their first Jordan, or someone who needs a reliable, go-to white-based sneaker. The Air Jordan Mid 1 in this "Black/White/Varsity Red" is a staple. It’s also great if you find the High OG collar too restrictive—the Mid cut is just easier to slip on and off for daily errands. The major "pro" here is versatility and legacy. You're wearing a piece of sneaker history (well, a version of it). The construction is generally durable for everyday use. However, the "con" for some will be the lack of premium materials or that exact OG specification. If you're a purist, you might only want the Highs. Conversely, who should skip it? Hardcore comfort seekers, for sure. Also, if you're a purest for the original '85 High OG shape and details, the Mid’s proportions might feel off. And if you already have multiple similar colorways in the Jordan series, this might be a pass. It’s a fantastic shoe, but it doesn’t reinvent the wheel.
