Terms of the offer
It's more accessible price-wise (~$135) than many High OG releases. You lose a bit of that iconic high-top collar, but you gain a slightly more modern, wearable profile. It's a fantastic gateway into the Jordan 1 family, for real. For new sneakerheads, I often recommend starting with a Mid. It lets you experience the Jordan 1 silhouette and see if you like the fit/feel before investing in pricier Highs or collaborations. This particular colorway is a classic for a reason—it’s just easy to wear. The brand recognition is, of course, through the roof. Who might want to skip it? If you prioritize max cushioning and modern tech in your daily shoes, this isn't it. Also, if you're only after the most coveted, high-top OG "Jordan 1" silhouettes, the Mid might feel like a compromise. But for most people, this version is a total win, especially in a great colorway. Comparing it to other Jordans... If you have a High, you don't "need" a Mid, but it's a different vibe. The "Air Jordan Mid 1" is easier to put on and off, for sure. It’s less of a statement, more of an everyday shoe. I find myself grabbing these for quick errands more often than my Highs. The price difference in the "Jordan series" makes the Mid a fantastic entry point. Just know the materials might be slightly different—sometimes less leather, more synthetic. Still a great shoe for the money.
