Students, casual wearers, folks who love the AJ1 look but maybe find Highs too tall or too expensive. At around $135 USD, it's a relatively low-risk way to get that iconic Jordan Brand look in your rotation. Sliding these on... the fit is true to size for me. The insole is pretty basic, so don't expect crazy cloud-like comfort right away—they need a little break-in. The ankle collar on this "Mid" version gives a decent feel, less restrictive than a high-top but still offering good support. For everyday wear and casual ball, the "air jordan mid 1" gets the job done without any drama. Major PROS? 1) "Timeless Style" — you can't go wrong with this silhouette. 2) "Great Price Point" — within the Jordan series, $135 USD is relatively accessible. 3) "Easy to Wear" — the Mid cut works for almost "anyone's" lifestyle. It's a fantastic "introductory" model if you're new to sneakers, or a reliable staple if you've been collecting for years. Comparing it directly to my Jordan 1 Highs… the main difference is the collar height, obviously. The Air Jordan Mid 1 offers a bit more everyday flexibility. You can wear it with more pant styles without the high-top bunching up. However, the materials on this Mid version often feel a step down from most retro High releases. It’s a trade-off for the lower price point, which is around $125 USD.
