Compared to the Air Jordan 1 High, the Mid has that slightly shorter collar, which I think makes it a bit more versatile for everyday style. It's a timeless look that works with jeans or shorts. Honestly, the camera loves this shoe's clean lines. Unboxing this "Black Toe" Mid 1 was "fun". The color-blocking is "just" iconic—red, black, white—it "pops". But, touching the materials? Yeah, it's the "typical" stiff, synthetic leather. Don't expect buttery "softness". On foot, the "fit" is "true" to size. It's a "straightforward", no-nonsense shoe from the Jordan series. If you're cool with a "break-in" period for that classic style, you'll "love" it. On feet now. The fit is true to size for me. The padding around the ankle on the Mid is noticeable—it's comfortable and gives good support for casual wear. The footbed isn't plush by any means, but it's not uncomfortable either. It's that classic, flat feel. If you're used to modern, cushioned sneakers, the Air Jordan 1 Mid might feel a bit firm at first. Comparing it to my Jordan 1 Highs... the Air Jordan Mid 1 is simply easier to live with daily. The Highs are more of a statement, but these Mids are just effortlessly cool and less of a hassle to put on and take off. For the price difference? That's a huge plus in my book.
