Comparing it to a Jordan 1 High, you lose some ankle support but gain easier mobility. Big pro: easier to put on and off. Con? The outsole is flat—not the best for all-day walking on concrete. Great for collectors who want a wearable, stylish Mid. Is the "Air Jordan Mid 1" worth it? At retail (~$135), yes—if you love the design. The quality is consistent for what it is. Just don't expect "remastered" OG quality. You're buying a piece of sneaker history in its most wearable form. I'm keeping these in my collection. Conversely, who might want to skip? Hardcore performance basketball players—this isn't a modern performance model. Also, if you already own several OG Highs and are "only" interested in premium materials, the mids might feel like a step down. But remember, it's a different shoe with its own purpose! Don't sleep on the "Jordan 1 Mid" just because of the height. Got this 'Wolf Grey' Air Jordan Mid 1 in today. Very underrated colorway—super easy to match. The quality is mid-tier, but that's the Mid's lane. Slip them on, and the cushioning is firm but not uncomfortable. Visually, the lower cut makes your legs look a bit longer—a nice style perk. The outsole grip is good for casual use. It's a great introductory shoe to the Jordan series. Probably not for someone who already owns multiple Jordan 1 Highs, unless you really dig the color.
