The contrast of the black and white panels is so clean and versatile. I've been wearing these for a few hours now, and they look great with jeans or shorts. Comparing it to pricier Retros, you're getting 90% of the look and feel for less money. For a practical sneakerhead, the value of the Air Jordan Mid 1 is hard to beat. After a full day in these, my verdict is positive. The Air Jordan Mid 1 is a workhorse. The materials held up, they're comfortable enough, and I got tons of compliments. They don't try to be something they're not. They're a solid, classic sneaker that just works. Conversely, who should skip it? Hardcore comfort seekers, for sure. Also, if you're a purest for the original '85 High OG shape and details, the Mid’s proportions might feel off. And if you already have multiple similar colorways in the Jordan series, this might be a pass. It’s a fantastic shoe, but it doesn’t reinvent the wheel.
