The "Air Jordan Mid 1" is a sneaker you can beat up a bit without feeling too guilty. If you want that Jordan look for casual use, it's a strong contender in my book. Comparing it to the OG Highs? The Air Jordan Mid 1 obviously has a shorter collar. It's easier to get on and off. Some purists might miss the full high-top look, but for everyday versatility? I think the Mid is a winner. The price point is also generally better, often under $130 USD. Conversely, who should skip it? Hardcore comfort seekers, for sure. Also, if you're a purest for the original '85 High OG shape and details, the Mid’s proportions might feel off. And if you already have multiple similar colorways in the Jordan series, this might be a pass. It’s a fantastic shoe, but it doesn’t reinvent the wheel. On foot now, & the fit is TTS (true to size) for me. The ankle collar on the "Jordan 1 Mid" provides a good lockdown. It's a firm ride, though—don't expect modern cushioning! For casual wear & style? Perfect. For all-day comfort? Maybe look elsewhere.
