The Mid 1 is less hype than some Retros, easier to get, and often under $150. If you need a shoe that goes with everything and has that Jordan heritage? This is it. It's a no-brainer first Jordan for many. Comfort-wise, temper your expectations. This isn't a Boost or React sneaker. The cushioning is simple—it's more about style and support than cloud-like comfort. After breaking them in, they become very comfortable for all-day wear (walking, standing). Just don't expect a performance basketball shoe feel from the Air Jordan 1 Mid in 2024. The major "pro" here is versatility and legacy. You're wearing a piece of sneaker history (well, a version of it). The construction is generally durable for everyday use. However, the "con" for some will be the lack of premium materials or that exact OG specification. If you're a purist, you might only want the Highs. So, I put the Air Jordan Mid 1 on foot. Initial feel? The ankle collar is "noticeably" lower than a High. The "cushioning" is firm—it's not super plush or "anything". You're getting that classic, "flat" court feel. The break-in period is real; these can be stiff at first. "Honestly", if you want supreme comfort out the gate, this might "not" be your shoe. But for style? The Mid 1 "absolutely" kills it.
