If you have super sensitive ankles, that's something to note. Also, the outsole traction is good for walking, but I wouldn't recommend these for actual balling—that's not their purpose anymore. As a lifestyle shoe, the Air Jordan Mid 1 absolutely delivers on its promise. Comparing it to other Jordans... The air jordan mid 1 sits "right" between the OG High and the Low. You lose some of the iconic High-top lockdown for basketball, but you gain easier wearability. Versus a Jordan 3 or 4? It's a totally different vibe—much more minimal and flat. It's a foundational piece in the Jordan series, for sure. Sliding these on... the fit is true to size for me. The ankle collar on the Mid is a nice middle ground - more support than a Low, but easier to get on than a High. They feel "secure", but that classic Air Jordan 1 midsole? Let's be real: it's firm. Don't expect crazy cushioning here. It's about that classic, connected-to-the-court feel. Conversely, who should skip it? Performance athletes, obviously. And if comfort is your #1 priority – like, you're on your feet all day – there are "way" better modern options. Also, if you're a purest for OG Jordan 1 Highs, the Mid's proportions might feel "off" to you. It's a different vibe.
