If you're used to plush sneakers like the Jordan 13 or even some newer retros, the Mid 1's firm midsole might feel a bit harsh for all-day wear. It's a shoe built more for style than supreme cushioning, which is totally fine, but you should know that going in. Who might it "not" be for? Hardcore OG purists who only mess with the Highs. Also, if technical, modern cushioning is your top priority, you might be disappointed. This Jordan Mid 1 is about style & heritage, "not" cutting-edge comfort. Just keeping it 100% real with you all. Potential con? The tech, or lack thereof. It's a 1985 design, so the cushioning is basic. If you're used to modern, plush sneakers, the firm feel might be a shock. Also, the ankle collar on this Mid cut — while comfortable — offers less lockdown than a High for actual basketball. Know what you're buying: a lifestyle icon, "not" a performance beast. Who should "maybe" skip it? Hardcore performance basketball players — this isn't your modern tool. Also, if ultimate, cloud-like comfort is your #1 priority, look at newer models. And if you're a purist who "only" rocks Highs for that authentic look, the Mid's shorter collar might not do it for you. But for most? It's a "solid", iconic choice.
