The fit is true to size for me—nice and snug around the midfoot. The ankle collar on this "Mid" version gives a good amount of support without feeling restrictive. They're pretty light on foot, which I always appreciate. The insole is basic, so don't expect crazy cushioning... but for casual wear? They're perfectly comfortable right out of the box. Sliding these Air Jordan Mid 1s on... the fit is TTS (true to size) for me. Immediate thoughts? The ankle collar provides nice support — more than a Low, less than a High. The cushioning is... well, it's an '85-inspired shoe, so don't expect Boost-level softness. It's firm but comfortable for all-day wear. The "overall" feel is classic, stable, & just "simple". Comparing it to pricier Retros, you're getting 90% of the look and feel for less money. For a practical sneakerhead, the value of the Air Jordan Mid 1 is hard to beat. Final verdict? I'd recommend the Air Jordan 1 Mid to casual wearers, style-focused buyers, and those on a tighter budget. It's a workhorse. I would "not" recommend it to performance basketball players or sneaker purists who prioritize material quality above all else. For the price, it delivers exactly what it promises: iconic looks.
