Compared to some recent Air Jordan 1 Lows, the Mid 1 feels a bit more substantial and 'complete' to me. It's a clean, everyday look. On foot now. The fit is true to size for me. Immediate feeling? It's a bit stiff – let's be real, the "air jordan mid 1" isn't known for cloud-like comfort. The ankle collar on the Mid feels... supportive, but not restrictive. They're lightweight, easy to walk in. For all-day wear? Your feet might feel it, but that's the trade-off for the look. The materials – let's be critical. It's not buttery-soft leather, it's more of a grained, durable finish. For the cost, it's acceptable. You won't get the luxury feel of some High OG releases, but that's reflected in the price. This "Jordan" series offering is about the silhouette and color first. It's built to last as a casual wear shoe. Comparing it directly to my Jordan 1 Highs… the main difference is the collar height, obviously. The Air Jordan Mid 1 offers a bit more everyday flexibility. You can wear it with more pant styles without the high-top bunching up. However, the materials on this Mid version often feel a step down from most retro High releases. It’s a trade-off for the lower price point, which is around $125 USD.
