It’s more accessible—both in price (~$135) and style—than chasing OG Highs. Versus something like a Jordan 3 or 4? The Mid 1 is "much" lighter on foot and has that timeless, minimalist profile. It's a foundational sneaker in any collection, no doubt. Conversely, who might want to skip? Hardcore performance basketball players—this isn't a modern performance model. Also, if you already own several OG Highs and are "only" interested in premium materials, the mids might feel like a step down. But remember, it's a different shoe with its own purpose! Don't sleep on the "Jordan 1 Mid" just because of the height. Final thoughts? I'm impressed. As a casual, go-to sneaker, these hit the mark. They look great on camera and in person, they're comfortable enough after break-in, and they carry that "Jordan series" DNA. Would I recommend them? For a classic, wearable sneaker – absolutely. Just know what you're getting into! Comparing it to other Jordans... If you have a High, you don't "need" a Mid, but it's a different vibe. The "Air Jordan Mid 1" is easier to put on and off, for sure. It’s less of a statement, more of an everyday shoe. I find myself grabbing these for quick errands more often than my Highs. The price difference in the "Jordan series" makes the Mid a fantastic entry point. Just know the materials might be slightly different—sometimes less leather, more synthetic. Still a great shoe for the money.
