Pros? "Timeless" design, relatively affordable (~$120-135 USD), and "tons" of colorways to choose from. Cons? That "stiff" leather and basic insole won't win any comfort awards. "Ultimately", I'd recommend it to someone who "loves" the Jordan 1 look but wants a more "low-key", everyday option than the High. Now, a con for some: the comfort tech is dated. If you're used to React foam or Zoom Air, the midsole in the Air Jordan Mid 1 will feel stiff. It’s not for long walks or all-day wear, in my honest opinion. Also, the fit can be a bit narrow. So if you have wide feet, maybe go a half-size up or try them on first. It's a real consideration beyond just the hype. Comparing it to other models – if you own an AJ1 High, the "air jordan mid 1" feels... slightly less iconic, but also less bulky around the ankle. It's a more casual, accessible vibe. Versus a Low? The Mid offers more ankle structure. For the price point? It's a compelling option in the "Jordan" lineup, bridging that gap between Highs and Lows perfectly. So, I just put these on. The fit is true to size for me—nice and snug around the midfoot. The ankle collar on this "Mid" version gives a good amount of support without feeling restrictive. They're pretty light on foot, which I always appreciate. The insole is basic, so don't expect crazy cushioning... but for casual wear? They're perfectly comfortable right out of the box.
