This isn't a Boost or React sneaker. The cushioning is simple—it's more about style and support than cloud-like comfort. After breaking them in, they become very comfortable for all-day wear (walking, standing). Just don't expect a performance basketball shoe feel from the Air Jordan 1 Mid in 2024. Now, the not-so-great part. If you need plush cushioning for all-day wear or balling, look elsewhere. This is a retro basketball shoe in design only. Also, that stiff leather can crease in a pretty noticeable way. It's part of the charm for some, but if you like your sneakers pristine, this might bug you. Sliding these Air Jordan Mid 1s on... the fit is TTS (true to size) for me. Immediate thoughts? The ankle collar provides nice support — more than a Low, less than a High. The cushioning is... well, it's an '85-inspired shoe, so don't expect Boost-level softness. It's firm but comfortable for all-day wear. The "overall" feel is classic, stable, & just "simple". Alright, what's up everyone? Just unboxed this pair of "air jordan mid 1"s in the "Banned" colorway, and wow—the leather quality honestly surprised me? It's not top-tier but for a $135 USD shoe, it's pretty solid. The iconic silhouette is instantly recognizable, of course. My first thought? They look great out of the box, ready to rock straight away.
