First thing I notice out of the box? The leather feels "pretty decent" for a Mid. The silhouette is clean—classic. For around $125 USD, this is a solid entry into the Jordan series if you're just starting out. Not the most premium, but a great daily wear option. Sliding these on... the fit is true to size for me. The ankle collar on the Mid is a nice middle ground - more support than a Low, but easier to get on than a High. They feel "secure", but that classic Air Jordan 1 midsole? Let's be real: it's firm. Don't expect crazy cushioning here. It's about that classic, connected-to-the-court feel. Conversely, who might want to skip? Hardcore performance basketball players—this isn't a modern performance model. Also, if you already own several OG Highs and are "only" interested in premium materials, the mids might feel like a step down. But remember, it's a different shoe with its own purpose! Don't sleep on the "Jordan 1 Mid" just because of the height. For real, the camera LOVES this shoe. I'm filming in some jeans, and the Air Jordan Mid 1 just pops. The black, white, and red color blocking is "timeless". Compared to the OG Highs, you're losing some ankle coverage, but you're gaining a slightly more modern, everyday-friendly profile. It's a win for casual style, hands down.
