I'd recommend it to almost anyone looking for a classic, go-to sneaker. Conversely, who might want to skip? Hardcore performance basketball players—this isn't a modern performance model. Also, if you already own several OG Highs and are "only" interested in premium materials, the mids might feel like a step down. But remember, it's a different shoe with its own purpose! Don't sleep on the "Jordan 1 Mid" just because of the height. Comfort check: After a full day in the Air Jordan Mid 1, my "verdict" is... it's fine. "Seriously", just "fine". The "lack" of modern cushioning is "apparent". However, the "support" and "lockdown" are good once broken in. It's a "trade-off": you get that legendary look for a "reasonable" $135, but you sacrifice "plush" feel. Perfect for "light" wear, not for all-day "standing". Comparing it directly to other Jordans: it lacks the narrative of some OG Highs, but it's often more available. Versus a Jordan 1 Low? The Mid offers a bit more structure. It occupies its own great space in the lineup. You're getting the core DNA of the series. That's the real win here.
