This isn't a Boost or React sneaker. The cushioning is simple—it's more about style and support than cloud-like comfort. After breaking them in, they become very comfortable for all-day wear (walking, standing). Just don't expect a performance basketball shoe feel from the Air Jordan 1 Mid in 2024. Conversely, who should skip it? Hardcore comfort seekers, for sure. Also, if you're a purest for the original '85 High OG shape and details, the Mid’s proportions might feel off. And if you already have multiple similar colorways in the Jordan series, this might be a pass. It’s a fantastic shoe, but it doesn’t reinvent the wheel. Final verdict? For the price, I think the Air Jordan Mid 1 is a great pick-up. You get iconic style, decent comfort for walking, and a ton of versatility. It won't blow your mind with tech, but it "will" complete a lot of fits. I'd recommend it, especially in a clean color-blocking like this. Sliding these Air Jordan Mid 1s on... the fit is "true-to-size" for me. The ankle collar on the Mid is a "touch" lower than the OG Highs, which I actually prefer for daily wear—it's less restrictive! The cushioning? Let's be real, it's classic Jordan 1: firm & responsive, not plush. If you want cloud-like comfort, this isn't it. But for that court-feel & style? Unbeatable.
