Initial feel? The ankle collar is "noticeably" lower than a High. The "cushioning" is firm—it's not super plush or "anything". You're getting that classic, "flat" court feel. The break-in period is real; these can be stiff at first. "Honestly", if you want supreme comfort out the gate, this might "not" be your shoe. But for style? The Mid 1 "absolutely" kills it. Putting these Air Jordan Mid 1s on feet... the fit is true to size for me. The ankle collar gives a nice, secure feel - it's not as restrictive as the Highs, which I actually prefer for everyday wear. The insole is pretty standard, so don't expect ultra-plush cushioning right out of the box. It's that familiar, supportive Jordan 1 feel. Sliding these Air Jordan Mid 1s on... the fit is "true-to-size" for me. The ankle collar on the Mid is a "touch" lower than the OG Highs, which I actually prefer for daily wear—it's less restrictive! The cushioning? Let's be real, it's classic Jordan 1: firm & responsive, not plush. If you want cloud-like comfort, this isn't it. But for that court-feel & style? Unbeatable. So, I just put these on. The fit is true to size for me—nice and snug around the midfoot. The ankle collar on this "Mid" version gives a good amount of support without feeling restrictive. They're pretty light on foot, which I always appreciate. The insole is basic, so don't expect crazy cushioning... but for casual wear? They're perfectly comfortable right out of the box.
