Also, that firm midsole—if you're all about cloud-like comfort, look elsewhere. The Air Jordan Mid 1 is about style and heritage over plush feel. Just keeping it 100% real with you all. Comparing it directly to my Jordan 1 Highs… the main difference is the collar height, obviously. The Air Jordan Mid 1 offers a bit more everyday flexibility. You can wear it with more pant styles without the high-top bunching up. However, the materials on this Mid version often feel a step down from most retro High releases. It’s a trade-off for the lower price point, which is around $125 USD. Who should "maybe" skip it? Hardcore performance basketball players — this isn't your modern tool. Also, if ultimate, cloud-like comfort is your #1 priority, look at newer models. And if you're a purist who "only" rocks Highs for that authentic look, the Mid's shorter collar might not do it for you. But for most? It's a "solid", iconic choice. Who should skip it? If you're all about the "highest" quality materials or need that plush, modern cushioning… look elsewhere. Also, hardcore purists who only mess with the OG High-top silhouette might not vibe with the Mid's shorter cut. It's a different beast within the Jordan series.
