They're perfect for casual wear, not serious ball. If you're new to sneakers, the Air Jordan Mid 1 is a fantastic first Jordan to add to your rotation. It's a staple. Opening the box, the quality is... "expected" for a mid-tier Jordan. It's not premium, but it's not bad either. The real win for the Air Jordan Mid 1 is the colorway variety. You can find almost any combo you want. For a sneakerhead starting their collection, or someone who just wants a reliable, iconic design, it's a great option. Not for the "materials snob" though. So, I just put these on. The fit is true to size for me—nice and snug around the midfoot. The ankle collar on this "Mid" version gives a good amount of support without feeling restrictive. They're pretty light on foot, which I always appreciate. The insole is basic, so don't expect crazy cushioning... but for casual wear? They're perfectly comfortable right out of the box. Now, a potential "con": The toe box creases... and it creases "fast". If you're someone who hates that vintage look, be warned. Also, the traction on smooth wet surfaces can be a little sketchy. It's a lifestyle shoe now, so just manage your expectations for performance. It's all about the style with this one.
