The main difference is, of course, the collar height. The "air jordan mid 1" gives you slightly more ankle freedom, which I actually prefer for all-day wear. However, some purists might miss the complete, iconic High top look. For $125, it's a more accessible entry point into the Jordan 1 lineage, which is a big plus. The materials – let's be critical. It's not buttery-soft leather, it's more of a grained, durable finish. For the cost, it's acceptable. You won't get the luxury feel of some High OG releases, but that's reflected in the price. This "Jordan" series offering is about the silhouette and color first. It's built to last as a casual wear shoe. Sliding these Air Jordan Mid 1s on... the fit is TTS (true to size) for me. Immediate thoughts? The ankle collar provides nice support — more than a Low, less than a High. The cushioning is... well, it's an '85-inspired shoe, so don't expect Boost-level softness. It's firm but comfortable for all-day wear. The "overall" feel is classic, stable, & just "simple".
