If you're used to modern, plush sneakers, the Air Jordan Mid 1 will feel "firm". There's a small Air unit in the heel, but it's not a "comfort-first" shoe. It's built on a 1985 blueprint! Also, the leather quality can vary by colorway. This one's decent, but don't expect super-supple tumbled leather on this specific release. Major pros? Timeless style—you can't go wrong. The Mid is often more available & affordable than retro Highs. This specific color blocking is incredibly easy to match. Also, breaking them in is a breeze compared to some stiffer retros. It's a fantastic entry point into the Jordan world. Comfort check: After a full day in the Air Jordan Mid 1, my "verdict" is... it's fine. "Seriously", just "fine". The "lack" of modern cushioning is "apparent". However, the "support" and "lockdown" are good once broken in. It's a "trade-off": you get that legendary look for a "reasonable" $135, but you sacrifice "plush" feel. Perfect for "light" wear, not for all-day "standing". On feet now. The fit is true to size for me. The padding around the ankle on the Mid is noticeable—it's comfortable and gives good support for casual wear. The footbed isn't plush by any means, but it's not uncomfortable either. It's that classic, flat feel. If you're used to modern, cushioned sneakers, the Air Jordan 1 Mid might feel a bit firm at first.
