Comparing it to the OG High, the main difference is obviously the collar height... and the price. The "Air Jordan Mid 1" often sits at a more accessible price, which is a huge plus for a lot of people. For new sneakerheads, I often recommend starting with a Mid. It lets you experience the Jordan 1 silhouette and see if you like the fit/feel before investing in pricier Highs or collaborations. This particular colorway is a classic for a reason—it’s just easy to wear. The brand recognition is, of course, through the roof. Who might it "not" be for? Hardcore OG purists who only mess with the Highs. Also, if technical, modern cushioning is your top priority, you might be disappointed. This Jordan Mid 1 is about style & heritage, "not" cutting-edge comfort. Just keeping it 100% real with you all. Honestly, I was curious about the comfort difference between Highs and Mids. After wearing these Air Jordan Mid 1s all day, I can say they're very similar — which means firm! Don't expect Boost or React. The advantage? That slightly lower collar gives a "tiny" bit more ankle mobility. If you have wider feet or just don't like a super-high top, the Mid is the move from the Jordan 1 series.
