They're a cornerstone of the Jordan series for a reason. Just go in with the right expectations: legendary looks, classic (firm) feel. For that, they deliver exactly as promised. However, here's a potential con: the comfort. If you're used to plush sneakers like the Jordan 13 or even some newer retros, the Mid 1's firm midsole might feel a bit harsh for all-day wear. It's a shoe built more for style than supreme cushioning, which is totally fine, but you should know that going in. Who should "maybe" skip it? Hardcore performance basketball players — this isn't your modern tool. Also, if ultimate, cloud-like comfort is your #1 priority, look at newer models. And if you're a purist who "only" rocks Highs for that authentic look, the Mid's shorter collar might not do it for you. But for most? It's a "solid", iconic choice. On feet now. The fit is true to size for me. The padding around the ankle on the Mid is noticeable—it's comfortable and gives good support for casual wear. The footbed isn't plush by any means, but it's not uncomfortable either. It's that classic, flat feel. If you're used to modern, cushioned sneakers, the Air Jordan 1 Mid might feel a bit firm at first.
