It's not trying to be the most innovative shoe. It's providing that iconic look & feel. If you're on the fence, try a pair on. The fit & firm feel might surprise you (in a good or bad way!). My personal vote? Copped. Who are these for? I'd recommend the Air Jordan Mid 1 to sneakerheads who love the AJ1 silhouette but want a slightly different profile from the High. Also, for newcomers to the Jordan Brand — it's a more budget-friendly way to get that iconic look without breaking the bank. On foot, they feel secure. The ankle support from the Mid collar is noticeable without being restrictive? It's a great balance. Visually, this "Shadow" colorway is super clean and goes with literally everything. For a classic sneaker from the Jordan series under $150, it's hard to argue with the value proposition here. Now, a real talk CON — the cushioning. If you're used to modern, plush sneakers, the Air Jordan Mid 1 will feel "firm". There's a small Air unit in the heel, but it's not a "comfort-first" shoe. It's built on a 1985 blueprint! Also, the leather quality can vary by colorway. This one's decent, but don't expect super-supple tumbled leather on this specific release.
