Initial feel? The ankle collar is "noticeably" lower than a High. The "cushioning" is firm—it's not super plush or "anything". You're getting that classic, "flat" court feel. The break-in period is real; these can be stiff at first. "Honestly", if you want supreme comfort out the gate, this might "not" be your shoe. But for style? The Mid 1 "absolutely" kills it. The major "pro" for this shoe is its undeniable style and versatility. You can dress it up or down, and it works for so many fits. The build, for the price, is consistent. My pair had no glue stains or major flaws. If you want a piece of the Jordan 1 story without the High top price or feel, this "air jordan mid 1" model is a fantastic option. Comparing it to my Jordan 1 Highs... the Air Jordan Mid 1 is simply easier to live with daily. The Highs are more of a statement, but these Mids are just effortlessly cool and less of a hassle to put on and take off. For the price difference? That's a huge plus in my book. On foot, the design really pops. The Mid cut is super versatile — it works perfectly with jeans or shorts. In natural light, the leather on this pair has a nice sheen. Compared to some recent Air Jordan 1 Lows, the Mid 1 feels a bit more substantial and 'complete' to me. It's a clean, everyday look.
