Students, casual wearers, folks who love the AJ1 look but maybe find Highs too tall or too expensive. At around $135 USD, it's a relatively low-risk way to get that iconic Jordan Brand look in your rotation. Now, the not-so-great part. If you need plush cushioning for all-day wear or balling, look elsewhere. This is a retro basketball shoe in design only. Also, that stiff leather can crease in a pretty noticeable way. It's part of the charm for some, but if you like your sneakers pristine, this might bug you. For real, the camera LOVES this shoe. I'm filming in some jeans, and the Air Jordan Mid 1 just pops. The black, white, and red color blocking is "timeless". Compared to the OG Highs, you're losing some ankle coverage, but you're gaining a slightly more modern, everyday-friendly profile.
