Pros? "Timeless" design, relatively affordable (~$120-135 USD), and "tons" of colorways to choose from. Cons? That "stiff" leather and basic insole won't win any comfort awards. "Ultimately", I'd recommend it to someone who "loves" the Jordan 1 look but wants a more "low-key", everyday option than the High. Sliding these Air Jordan Mid 1s on... the fit is TTS (true to size) for me. Immediate thoughts? The ankle collar provides nice support — more than a Low, less than a High. The cushioning is... well, it's an '85-inspired shoe, so don't expect Boost-level softness. It's firm but comfortable for all-day wear. The "overall" feel is classic, stable, & just "simple". Alright, let's unbox these. First impression? The ""Varsity Red"" Air Jordan Mid 1 looks clean in-hand. The leather feels decent for the $135 USD price, not super premium but not plasticky. The shape is classic—that Jordan Mid 1 silhouette is just iconic. You're getting a piece of the series' history without the High OG price tag, which I always appreciate for a daily wear. Now, the not-so-great part. If you need plush cushioning for all-day wear or balling, look elsewhere. This is a retro basketball shoe in design only. Also, that stiff leather can crease in a pretty noticeable way. It's part of the charm for some, but if you like your sneakers pristine, this might bug you.
