For $180 USD, you're buying into that icon status, not cutting-edge tech. Sliding these on... initial feel is "sturdy". The 'Air Jordan Retro 1' isn't known for cloud-like comfort, and yeah, that's true here. The cushioning is firm, but the lockdown? Excellent. My foot feels secure. If you're coming from something like a React sneaker, you'll notice the difference immediately. It's more about structure than squish.
