If you value iconic design over hyper-comfort, this is for you. I'd recommend the 'Bred' (Black/Red) colorway first — it's the quintessential look. It's a piece of footwear culture you can "wear". Unboxing the 'Bred' reimagined version was a moment. The aged midsole & cracked leather give it so much personality. However, the fit is TTS but snug—wide-footers, you might wanna consider going up half a size! The Air Jordan Retro 4 is a statement piece. It's not for minimalists. But if you love sneaker history & bold looks, it's absolutely worth the $210 price tag in my book. Who should "avoid" these? If you have really wide feet, seriously consider going up half a size. Performance basketball players? Look at modern models. Anyone seeking ultimate comfort above all else might be disappointed. The Air Jordan Retro 4 is a lifestyle icon first. Know what you're getting into, and you won't be disappointed. On foot now, and the fit is true to size for me. The Air Jordan Retro 4 has a snug, secure feel - especially around the midfoot, thanks to those plastic wings. It's not the most cushioned shoe ever, you definitely feel the court-ready setup, but it's stable. The break-in period is real, though. After a few wears, it gets more comfortable.
