The Air Jordan Retro 6 has a snug, secure feel around the midfoot, thanks to that inner sleeve. It's not the most plush cushioning by today's standards—you feel that encapsulated Air unit—but it's stable. The weight is noticeable but not heavy, just a solid, grounded feel. Comparing it to other Jordans? The 6 sits higher on the ankle than a 1 or a 3, offering more support. The cushioning setup is similar to a 4 or a 5—firm but protective. I'd say it's one of the more comfortable "older" Retros for extended wear. It's a distinct part of the "Jordan series" that holds its own. On feet, the silhouette is just killer. The way the midsole curves and that sculpted heel – it's a very '90s basketball shoe look that works perfectly with jeans or shorts. The Infrared colorway, especially, gets attention. On camera, the different textures of the materials really show up well. Potential downside? That ankle collar. It can be stiff at first and might rub if you have a wider foot or a high instep. It breaks in, but initially, it's something to be aware of. Also, the traction pattern can pick up pebbles easily. Just a minor annoyance, but worth mentioning in a real review.
