The biggest advantage of this Black Air Jordan 1 is its insane versatility and timelessness. It's a leather sneaker you can beat up a bit, and it might even look better. Scuffs? They add character. For a sneaker around $200, its cost-per-wear potential is through the roof. It's a classic for a reason. On the flip side, who should skip it? If you need a super comfortable, all-day walking shoe… look elsewhere. Also, if you're not a fan of breaking in stiff leather, this will be a chore. And for hardcore performance basketball? Obviously, don't use these. They're a lifestyle icon now, not a performance tool. Keep that in mind before you cop. Comparing it to my other Jordans... it's lighter than a Jordan 4, but the court feel is similar to other OG 1s. Versus a 'Chicago', the black Air Jordan 1 is way more low-key – it’s for a different mood. The advantage? It doesn't show creases as easily as a lighter color. Big plus.
