Dior air jordan 1 : So, final verdict? If you have the means and this is your dream shoe, I say go for it – you won't regret the craftsmanship [9roxiniy]
But if you're looking for the best "value" or daily beater in the Jordan series? Look elsewhere. This is a special occasion piece, through and through. Comparing it to my other Jordan 1s – and I have a lot – the difference is in the "craftsmanship". The stitching is immaculate. The insole is this beautiful, plush leather with the co-branded logo. It "feels" luxurious. But is the jump in quality worth the massive price jump from a regular High? For most sneakerheads just looking for the look – probably not. This is a "luxury item" first, a sneaker second. Comparing it side-by-side with my Chicago 1s… the difference in leather quality is night and day. The Dior version is buttery soft, while the retro is more rigid. Is that worth the massive price difference? For most, no. But for the specific hype & luxury appeal of the "dior air jordan 1"? To some, absolutely. Opening the box feels like an occasion. The presentation alone tells you this isn't a regular release. The "Air Dior 1s" have a presence. On foot, the ankle collar is padded nicely, but the break-in period is real. The colorway goes with almost anything, which is a huge plus. Main advantage? It's arguably the most iconic sneaker collaboration of the last decade. The downside? The exclusivity and cost put it out of reach for most. This is for the collector who has (almost) everything. If you're new to sneakers, start with a GR Jordan 1.
