Little things like that justify part of the cost for a collector. However, the "possible downside" is it almost feels too nice to wear. It loses that "just a pair of sneakers" charm. Compared to my beat-up Chicago 1s, this "Dior collaboration" feels like museum piece. That's a pro for some, a major con for others who like to wear their kicks hard. Putting these on for the first time? The fit is surprisingly snug! The Italian leather interior is smooth & has a premium feel, but the cushioning is "firm" – don't expect Boost or React here. It's classic Air Jordan 1 comfort, just executed with far better materials. The $2,000 price tag doesn't buy you a revolutionary "feel", but the craftsmanship on this dior x Jordan collaboration is absolutely top-tier. Comparing it directly to my other Jordan 1s… the difference in materials is night & day. The Dior Air Jordan 1 feels "denser", more structured. The swoosh is a work of art! However – and this is key – if you want a comfy, everyday Jordan, look elsewhere. This is for the collector, the fashion-head, not for beating up on the court or daily commutes. Major "pro"? The unparalleled craftsmanship. Every single detail is perfect, from the leather lining to the special box. It’s the pinnacle of a sneaker collaboration. Wearing it, you feel that exclusivity. The "Dior x Jordan" project truly delivered a grail.
