If you love the Jordan series and appreciate luxury crossovers, this is the pinnacle. For everyone else, the cost is just too prohibitive to justify for actual, regular wear. Comparing it to my other Jordan 1s... there's no competition on materials, period. The "Dior Air Jordan 1's" leather is buttery and thick. But is it "$1,800 more" comfortable? Not really. The comfort is similar to a well-made, stiff leather Jordan. You're buying the art, the collaboration, the status. It's a grail for collectors, not for performance. Who is it "not" for? Anyone looking for a daily beater or max comfort. For $2,000 USD, you could get so many other amazing sneakers. If you're not into the luxury fashion angle, this won't make sense. It’s an investment and a display piece, first and foremost. After wearing them for a day, I have mixed feelings. On one hand, the dior air jordan 1 is probably the most beautifully made sneaker I own. On the other, I'm constantly aware of them – every step feels precious. The sole is quite hard. It's not a "forget you're wearing them" kind of shoe. It's a piece you "feel" & "see". That's its appeal & its drawback, depending on what you're looking for.
