The monogram on the lining, the icy outsole... it's all flawless. However, a potential con for some? It's almost "too" nice. I'm hesitant to crease that pristine leather! Compared to my other Jordan series retros, this feels like a display piece you occasionally wear. If you want a beater sneaker, this $2,000 USD "dior air jordan 1" is NOT it. It's for collectors who appreciate art. Comparing it to my other Jordan 1s β and I have a lot β the difference is in the "craftsmanship". The stitching is immaculate. The insole is this beautiful, plush leather with the co-branded logo. It "feels" luxurious. But is the jump in quality worth the massive price jump from a regular High? For most sneakerheads just looking for the look β probably not. This is a "luxury item" first, a sneaker second. Major "pro"? The unparalleled craftsmanship. Every single detail is perfect, from the leather lining to the special box. Itβs the pinnacle of a sneaker collaboration. Wearing it, you feel that exclusivity. The "Dior x Jordan" project truly delivered a grail. In the end, it lives up to the hype in terms of construction / and design prestige. The "dior air jordan 1" is a masterpiece of a collaboration. But hype and price aside, you have to be honest about your own style and wallet. For me, owning and wearing it was an incredible experience, but I completely understand why someone would call it overpriced. It's a polarizing piece, / and that's okay.
